Meet Janice Sinardi
Janice Sinardi, a 38 year veteran of the travel and cruise industry, began her career at 18 working for Eastern Airlines. Janice worked 8 years for Eastern in Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte and Orlando, opening up a world of travel and new destinations.
After starting a family, Janice had the opportunity to get into sales with a major resort, The Colony Beach & Tennis Resort on Longboat Key off the coast of Sarasota, Florida. There Janice was actively involved with all aspects of the resort, from individual families to group travel. She helped to develop tennis packages and international travel to the resort. This opened the door for a position with the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and Janice became the first woman Director of Tourism for Sarasota County. Working with the State Division of Tourism, she promoted Sarasota and its bordering islands as a destination for both domestic and international travelers.
The call of the sea came in 1981 and Janice began a 25 year career in the cruise industry starting with Scandinavian World Cruises. Janice was part of the start up team at Premier Cruise Lines (The Big Red Boat) where she was instrumental in hiring the first sales team as Director of Sales. Janice always liked a challenge so after 8 years with Premier, she got the call to be on the sales team with a newer part of the Chandris Lines called Celebrity Cruises, now a top premium line. Shortly after 4 years her dream of working for "The Love Boat" came true and she spent her last 10 years as District Sales Manager for Princess and Cunard Lines.
Janice retired early to spend more time with her family and to be treated for lymphoma which she is happy to say is in remission. She knew that travel was still calling and in 2008 she joined the Cruise Planner Team as a franchise owner and is happily selling travel once again.
"It's in my blood and I love planning these wonderful cruises and land vacations for my clients", said Janice. "I get so excited making these travel dreams come true, and it's still my passion."
Janice loves to give presentations to those interested in travel. Her favorite destinations to talk about are Alaska, the Greek Isles, Italy, the Mediterranean and French Polynesia. She has been on over 45 short cruises and 20 longer cruises to destinations all over the world. Give her a call and let her tell you about one of her destinations. Janice has not finished her "Bucket List" yet, but hopes to in the years to come.
